To be eligible for the Livestock Card Scheme, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- The applicant must be a resident of Punjab.
- One should own 5 to 20 animals, including cows, buffalo, goats, or sheep.
- The Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) must be current.
- Should possess a mobile number registered in their name.
- The applicant must not have obtained any animals from any government program within the previous five years.
- Ensure to keep a spotless record in the Electronic Credit Information Bureau (eCIB).
- You must present proof of livestock ownership or agricultural land.

Steps to Get a Livestock Card
The registration process is simple and accessible through two main methods:
1. Apply via SMS
- Please enter your CNIC number (without any spaces or characters) and send it to 8070.
- There will be a confirmation message sent to you with more details.
2. Apply Manually
- Go to the Livestock and Dairy Development Department office that works best for you.
- Please bring the following documents:
- Original CNIC
- Documents showing ownership of land or proof that you own animals
- Active mobile number
- Officials at the office will help you complete the registration process.
️ Registration Timeline
Phase 2 of the Livestock Card Scheme is now open for registration, running from May 15, 2025, to June 15, 2025. Farmers who already filled out an application during Phase 1 don’t have to fill out another one.

Farmers can receive loans between PKR 135,000 and PKR 270,000, depending on the number of animals they own (up to 10).
